Lately I've really been enjoying Gourmet's Diary of a Foodie on PBS. I'd never even heard of the show until a publicist sent me a dvd promoting the second season, which means that an entire season managed to go by without me ever hearing about it. What a loss!
It's really amazing how much you can get in to a half hour of television when there are no commercials, and this show really packs in a lot of great stuff. The foodies in question are constantly flying all over the world to find great restaurants, explore food from various cultures, and discover exciting ingredients. Each episode also devotes time to a quick tip from the Gourmet kitchen, often delivered by none other than Ruth Reichl.
I watched a great episode yesterday on food bloggers. I was particularly interested in Chez Pim, which the program said was the one of the most popular blogs on the internet. I checked it out, and she's definitely the real deal.
